April 8, 2008-- CHARLOTTE BIRD

Lecture: "Art Quilt Trunk Show"

Charlotte Bird's handmade multimedia wall hangings all have a personal story to tell. They contain bold, graphic styles that are liberally salted with whimsy. With a combination of screen printing, stamping, immersion dyeing and sewing. She created fun and intriguing works of art inspired by such things a nursery rhymes, riddles and counting games.

Location & Time: Wells Park. Doors open 6:30 p.m. No workshop this month.

Lecture and Trunk Show: "Surface Designs".

Mary Tabar has been sewing professionally for 25 years. She has a California Teaching Credential and a BS in industrial Technology from Missouri S.U., 1980. Mary has been teaching classes through Palomar Community College and loves dying fabric and applying surface embellishment techniques.
